SOAK ZONE!!

Oh, to be young and CRAZY!! Kaylea and her cousins, Maddie and Jack very eagerly sat in the SOAK ZONE at SeaWorld. They really got lucky. I don't think they had a dry spot on their entire bodies.

Other great pics from the day.

Is your tv ready for 2009?

Mason ran into the room and asked me if our tv is connected to cable. I said "Yes". He said "Good, cause in 2009, our tv wouldn't work". I'm so glad he is well informed on matters of the tv. I had myself a good chuckle over this!!

Snow in Florida

We woke up yesterday morning to find FROST on the ground. This rarely happens here much less actual snow. Kaylea and Mason were so excited! They were jumping up and down in excitement and couldn't wait to go outside to touch it. Kaylea even tried to gather it in her hands. Isn't this sad?? We need to find some snow! I think we will plan out trip to Tennessee in January around the weather report - maybe we can hit the jackpot.

Swingset Rehab

I was on the verge of sending our playset to "playset Heaven" when I suddenly decided to give it a make over. I am still kicking myself from 3 1/2 years ago when I insisted to my sweet hubby that we move it with us to our new house. He felt that we should start over with a new state-of-the-art playset. But, NO, I insisted that we save the money and just move the perfectly good one that we already had. Let me just say that it really was never the same. All those nails and pieces of wood just didn't want to go back the way they once had been. I think the make over will turn out OK. We gave it a nice new coat of stain and we plan to add some new swings and stuff. I'm sure we will enjoy it over these cooler months.

T-Shirts for Turkeys!!

This was our second year giving turkeys to the Joy FM. They do this throughout their listening area to collect turkeys for Thanksgiving. The ones we donated will go to Lighthouse Ministries. We are happy to help and we LOVE the t-shirts. We donated 4 real turkeys from our family and 3 paper turkeys ($$) from some ladies at work.

This is a sign I'm getting old.

I am typing this on Saturday night at 8:15 and wondering if it is almost time for bed. What has happened to my life? I remember the day when I was just getting started at midnight. The sad thing is - I am completely happy. This is definitely a sign of my advancing years. Sleep is one of my favorite activities - right up there with eating and watching TV. I think I need a fitness intervention!!

Big kids can have fun too!

Happy Halloween!!

Bobby & I went to a neighborhood Halloween party for the adults. This was the first time I dressed up since 1994. I have never really enjoyed the whole costume thing and in fact was dreading the entire thing. But, I have to say, I ended up loving it. We went as Jack and Jill - the aftermath. The party was really fun. I think we will now make this an annual event.

Happy Halloween!

Well, another Halloween has come and gone. Kaylea was so sad last night that it ended so quickly. I do remember the day in my childhood when I felt this same way. We live in a gated community so there aren't a lot of trick-or-treaters but the way the neighborhood kids ran from door to door you would think there was a candy shortage and they had to beat the rush! I couldn't believe it - they literally ran from door to door. I think we finished in record time this year - 50 houses in 50 minutes!! They had a blast.

Next year I have vowed to decorate our house for Halloween. Mason informed me that we have the boringest (his word - not mine) house ever. We just can't have that next year. I plan to hit up Walmart & Target for clearance items. I certainly don't want to be in the boring category. Now, I am off to gain 10 lbs from all the candy.

The neighborhood gang!
