Mind over Matter!

Mason told me today that he is getting the big remote control car from Target for Christmas. I asked him why he said that - thinking he would say it is on his list to Santa. Instead, he said because his brain told him to say that.

Oh, if it could only be that easy. In that case, my brain says I want a Coach purse, a diamond wedding band, a new car, a swimming pool, and XM Radio so I can listen to the Kenny Station every day - this should actually go to the top of my brain list.

Who Says Baseball Isn't BORING??

For some strange reason, I am really into watching the Rays in the playoffs. I was over visiting my parents and Aunt Amy (in town for a visit) Sunday night and we were watching the game. It is hard for me not to get excited since they are a local team. I knew that Bobby would roll his eyes in non-agreement when I told him what I had been up to (He doesn't like the Rays or baseball). I didn't get home until 11:30 because I just couldn't get a break from the exciting game long enough to drive the 2 miles home.

I raced inside and said "Turn on the Rays game". Bobby said "It's over". When I left my parents house, it was only the 6th inning - how could it have ended so quickly?? I then realized that we rewinded the game to see something funny in the stands. I guess we went a little far and watched innings 5 and 6 all over again. The funny thing is - we didn't even notice. We did mention that they showed the same fan more that once. I stated that it must be a family member since they kept showing him. I also thought that the score went from 3-1 to 2-1 but I thought I was just mistaken. I have to laugh just thinking of this. Can you believe that we didn't even notice and there was even a man in the room? That my friends, is how boring baseball can be!!

I still plan to watch the first night of the World Series tonight.

The Storm is Coming!

The world's first touch screen BlackBerry!

I think I need to put this on my Santa's list. I have been very good this year! I think I am one of the last people remaining that doesn't have a Palm or PDA (Are these the same thing?) I was at a meeting a couple of weeks ago and when we starting planning our next meeting time - everyone reached for their phone/palm. I watched this and began to laugh and I went looking for my Amy Knapp's Family Organizer (weekly menu and grocery planning perforated list included) How OLD SCHOOL can it get??

Undefeated!!

Kaylea's soccer team in undefeated!! Bobby is her coach and BOY is he proud. I thought he was going to fall out from the stress of it. I was actually sore the next day from all the jumping and cheering that I did. I am considering wearing my cheerleading uniform next week. Kaylea - We are really proud of you and your team!

I just love to watch soccer. For some crazy reason, I can't keep my feet still. I think that I can somehow direct the ball from the sidelines. I told Bobby that Angel and I want to join an adult league, he just chuckled. I think we would be great. After all, how hard can it be? Right? I know that you are reading this and laughing out loud. Anyway, it can always be my dream.

My Aunt Amy was in town and come with Mamaw to watch Kaylea play. Aren't they cute?

October 14th!! The new CD arrives. I have to attend a meeting in Bartow at 8:30 a.m. Otherwise, I would be at Target making the anticipated purchase. I CAN'T WAIT!!

Crazy Dog!

I need some serious help with my beloved Boomer. It is no secret that he really doesn't care for MEN (Not all men - home repair men mostly & any other man he sees for the first time). Well, a couple of weeks ago he bit a little ten year old boy in our neighborhood. Kaylea was being goofy and tugging at his arm and Boomer jumped up and bit him on the hip. Of course, I didn't actually see the flesh wound since he would have to drop his drawers for that but I knew it upset him. Boomer didn't look or sound like he was just playing along with the kids!!

But, it doesn't stop there. A few of the neighborhood kids (2 girls and 1 boy - yes, the same little boy) knocked on our door Friday afternoon. Before I could stop it from happening, Kaylea opened the door and the next thing I hear is screaming kids and Boomer not being very friendly. He actually charged out the door and chased this same little boy down. He bit him on the very same place on his hip.

I was just waiting all evening for the authorities to arrive and take me to jail. I don't know what to do!! A feeling of fear comes across me whenever I hear the doorbell. I have to race across the house to get Boomer before the kids open the door. I just can't chance him doing it again.

The question is??

Will I have to keep him under lock & key for the rest of his 12 years?

Call the Dog Whisperer?

Give him away?

I plan to talk this over with my vet. I will keep you updated.
